What is construction supervision?Construction supervision includes control of the execution of works in order to verify their compliance with the building permit, the detailed design, regulations and the rules of the profession. The supervising engineer monitors the execution of works within his or her field of expertise and records any observed irregularities.
-
When is construction supervision required?Construction supervision is mandatory for the construction of buildings for which a building permit is issued, except in cases where the Act provides otherwise. For family houses considered less complex buildings, construction supervision is carried out in relation to the mechanical resistance and stability of the building, i.e. the construction of the load-bearing structure. The supervising engineer reviews individual stages of construction and approves the continuation of works.
-
When does the supervising engineer come to the site?Visits are planned according to the pace of the works and the key stages of construction. For family houses these are primarily the foundations, load-bearing walls and columns, the floor structure and the roof, i.e. the works that need to be reviewed before they are closed or the next stage begins.
-
Can ING-VICTUS carry out supervision if it did not prepare the design?Yes. We can also carry out construction supervision on buildings designed by other designers. However, supervision is most often carried out on projects we have previously designed, which ensures continuity from the design documentation to the execution on site.
-
In which area do you provide construction supervision services? We provide construction supervision primarily in the area of Belišće, Valpovo, Osijek and Osijek-Baranja County, and depending on the type and complexity of the project, elsewhere in Croatia.
